By now you should have received your copy of Tarka’s FREE summer activities programme for Tarka kids, which has been sent to every Tarka household, both renters & leaseholders. There should be something for all Tarka kids aged between 7 & 16, over 5 weeks of the summer holidays.
On offer are:-
· fun days-out building shelters & cooking on campfires at a Forest School;
· you can create your own unique masterpiece of pottery painting with Pots ‘N’ Paints;
· the opportunity to create music, animation or film, or learn to DJ with both Yard 1 & WINGS;
· you can test your skills and balance on the rope bridges and zip wires at the Ultimate High;
· have a great time whatever the weather learning to surf with WINGS in Westward Ho!;
· limited money-off vouchers for cycle hire on the Tarka Trail, East the Water are available;
· and also weekly drop-in sessions to do arts & crafts, play pool or hang-out with friends at WINGS in Bideford.
Transport from the Holsworthy, Torrington, Bideford, Northam & East the Water areas is available for the majority of the activities, so lack of transport should not be a barrier to taking part.
Also if you want to bring a friend along to any of the activities then this may be possible, for a nominal charge.
To book on to any of the activities just complete the booking form found in the Tarka FREE summer activities programme. If you need more information please contact either Kieren or Claire on 01237 428 080.
FREE PLACES on Torridge’s Summer Programme
In addition to Tarka’s exciting programme of summer activities we are also working with Torridge District Council this summer to provide limited FREE places to Tarka residents on their Summer Culture & Leisure Programme 2010. If you want to use these free places (up to a max of 3 per child), you will need to provide a “Tarka/TDC Summer Pass” at the time of booking, to prove that you are a Tarka resident.
