Tarka Housing provides a service for providing adaptations to tenants. Tarka works in partnership with the Council, Social Services and NHS Trusts to deliver effective and responsive disabled adaptions.
Tarka has a budget of £1 million over the first 5 years to provide adaptations to meet the needs of tenants. Adaptations will be provided to tenants homes where necessary to help and assist tenants to remain independent and stay in their own home.
Examples of adaptations include:
Providing grab handles or ramps to aid access to a tenants home.
Fitting door access systems
Minor Internal alterations
Installation of stair lifts
Fitting level access showers
Providing minor bathroom/kitchen adaptations
